Residential gate post, single guard, part-time occupation: A 4×4 ft or 6×4 ft unit is sufficient. The guard registers visitors, operates the gate, and occupies the cabin intermittently. Compact footprint suits narrow gate entrance widths.

Factory or office park checkpoint: full-time occupation, register and CCTV monitoring: A 6×6 ft unit is the standard. The guard occupies the cabin for an entire shift, maintains a visitor register, monitors a CCTV screen, and communicates with vehicles. The 6×6 ft layout accommodates a desk, chair, and monitor without feeling confined.

24-hour industrial or institutional post, dual guard, shift handover: An 8×8 ft unit with a bench for the incoming guard. Shift handover requires two people in the cabin simultaneously. The larger footprint also suits high-footfall checkpoints at ports, warehouses, and government facilities.

What the 360-Degree Visibility Specification Actually Means

The primary job of a security guard is observation. A cabin that restricts the guard's field of view compromises the entire security operation, regardless of how robust the structure is.

Every SAMAN security cabin is built with sliding windows on all four faces. Each window is positioned at seated eye level, approximately 1,100mm from the floor, so the guard has clear sightlines in every direction without standing. The sliding mechanism opens for direct communication with visitors without requiring the guard to open the door.

The glass specification on standard units is 5mm clear toughened glass. Toughened glass does not shatter into sharp fragments on impact, it breaks into blunt granules. For high-vandalism locations or government facilities where security risk is elevated, laminated glass is available on request.

MS, FRP, or PUF: Which Material Is Right for Your Site

The material choice determines how the cabin performs over time at your specific location.

MS (Mild Steel) panels: Best for high-vandalism urban locations: housing society gates, factory entrances, and commercial building checkpoints. Standard choice for most deployments.

FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) panels: Best for coastal locations, sites within 30 km of the sea or chemical processing facilities with persistent humidity and salt air. FRP does not corrode and is lighter for relocation. Not recommended for high-vandalism sites.

PUF-insulated MS panels: Best for extreme heat regions: Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and any outdoor post with 40°C+ ambient temperatures. The PUF core maintains interior temperature 8 to 10°C below outdoor ambient. Recommended for all-day outdoor posts across South India and North India in summer.

Guard Comfort Is a Security Performance Issue

A guard who is uncomfortable does not watch the gate. This is not a welfare observation, it is a security operations fact. A poorly ventilated cabin at 2am in July with no lighting is a cabin where the guard will find ways to stay outside, defeating the purpose of the installation entirely.

Every SAMAN security cabin is built with the following as standard: a ventilator fan opening at ceiling level to allow hot air to escape, a 240V electrical connection point with switchboard and light fitting, and an insulated roof panel to reduce radiant heat from direct sun.

The 6×6 ft unit is the minimum size for a guard occupying the post for a full 8 to 12-hour shift. The floor area accommodates a standard office chair and a 600mm desk with walking space to the door. The 8×8 ft unit adds a bench along one wall for the incoming shift guard during handover.

Electrical provision on every unit supports one ceiling light, one wall fan socket, and one desk socket for a CCTV monitor or communication device.

Single cabin: housing society, small office, standalone gate: A standard 6×6 ft MS cabin from our Bangalore stock delivers within 3 days to sites within 200 km. No site survey required for a single unit on a flat, accessible surface.

3 to 15 cabins: factory with multiple checkpoints, institution with several gates: Consistent specification across all units matters. A guard at gate 3 and a guard at gate 7 should operate in identical conditions. SAMAN supplies multi-unit orders from the same production batch, same material, same dimensions, same electrical provision, delivered simultaneously so all checkpoints become operational at the same time. Pricing for 3 or more units is confirmed at quote stage.

Delivery and Installation: What 3 Days Covers

SAMAN's standard 6×6 ft MS security cabin is available from ready stock at our Bangalore facility. For sites within 200 km of Bangalore, delivery and installation completes within 3 working days of order confirmation.

What 3-day delivery includes: transportation to your site, placement at the specified gate or checkpoint, levelling on the surface, and electrical connection to your mains supply point. The guard can occupy the cabin on the day of installation.

For sites beyond 200 km or outside South India, delivery runs within 7 to 21 working days from our Bangalore or Greater Noida facility. Custom configurations, non-standard sizes, FRP material, PUF insulation, or specific interior fittings, are delivered within the same 7 to 21 working day window.

Yes. Standard units are placed on a flat surface without fixing. If your site requires a permanently fixed installation, the base frame can be anchor-bolted to a concrete plinth. We provide the anchor bolt layout drawing on request. Fixed installation adds 1 to 2 hours to the process.

What electrical provision do the cabins include: does it support CCTV?

Every SAMAN security cabin includes a 240V single-phase MCB panel, one ceiling light fitting, one wall fan socket, and one desk-level power socket. CCTV camera mounting brackets are available as an add-on with wiring conduit running from the mounting position to the switchboard. The buyer supplies the camera and DVR unit.

Can security cabins be branded with a company logo or security firm colours?

Yes. Custom exterior paint colour and logo application are available at design stage. Colour code is applied at the factory before dispatch. Logo application uses vinyl wrap on the exterior panel, durable for 4 to 5 years in outdoor conditions.
