Detailed information about Engineered Metal Building
An engineered metal building from SAMAN is a steel-framed structure built in our factory and assembled on your site, supplied to your span, height and layout. The unit shown here is 90′ × 24′ × 19′ on a mild steel frame with PUF sandwich-panel walls, priced at ₹27,35,000. It suits warehouses, factories, workshops and storage buildings where you need open clear floor space and a structure that goes up fast.
What an Engineered Metal Building Is
An engineered metal building is a steel building system designed and fabricated in a factory, then bolted together on site. Its load-bearing frame, roof and wall panels are made to set specifications before they reach you. The result is a strong, wide-span industrial or commercial building that goes up faster than a conventional brick-and-concrete structure.

Sizes, Clear Spans and the Standard Configured Unit
Most buyers start from a standard configuration and adjust the span and length to fit the site. The unit we show is 90 ft long, 24 ft wide and 19 ft to the eaves — a single clear span with no internal columns, so the full floor stays usable. A taller eaves height suits a warehouse running forklifts or racking; a lower one keeps cost down for a workshop. Across metal building India projects, the wider spans are chosen for storage and distribution work where open floor matters more than internal walls. Common configurations:
| Size (ft, L×W×H) | Clear span & eaves height | Typical industrial use |
|---|---|---|
| 60 × 20 × 12 | ~20 ft span, 12 ft eaves | Workshop or small storage unit |
| 90 × 24 × 19 | ~24 ft span, 19 ft eaves | Warehouse / production floor (unit shown) |
| 120 × 40 × 24 | ~40 ft span, 24 ft eaves | Large warehouse, distribution or assembly building |
| Custom | wider spans on request | Plant buildings, hangars, multi-bay layouts |

Inside the clear span — no internal columns, so the full floor stays usable for racking and movement.
Steel Frame and PUF Panel Build
Every building is built around a primary frame of mild steel columns and rafters. Secondary members — purlins on the roof and girts on the walls — carry the cladding and tie the frame together. We use IS-certified mild steel, shop-fabricated and pre-drilled so it bolts together on site without cutting or welding.

Walls and roof are finished with PUF sandwich panels: two steel skins around a rigid polyurethane core that insulates against heat and keeps the interior workable through an Indian summer. Where insulation is not needed, single-skin steel roof and wall cladding is a lower-cost option. The frame, panels and fasteners together make an industrial metal structure that carries the wind and roof loads across the spans above.
What an Engineered Metal Building Costs — and What Moves the Price
The configured 90 × 24 × 19 unit shown is priced at ₹27,35,000. That is a starting point, not a flat rate for every building — the structure is priced to its design, so the figure moves with a few clear factors:
- Span and length — wider clear spans need heavier steel sections, the single biggest cost driver.
- Eaves height — a taller building uses more column and cladding material.
- Panel choice — PUF sandwich panels cost more than single-skin cladding but add insulation.
- Steel weight — the total frame tonnage, set by your loads and spans.
- Site location — transport adds to the delivered cost; our 40 ft trailers are charged at ₹80 per km, excluding ODC and RTO charges.

Engineered Metal Building or a Simple Shed?
Not every project needs a full engineered metal building. The difference is what you are covering and how hard the space works.
Choose an engineered metal building when you need a finished, insulated building with usable height, wide clear spans and a long service life — a warehouse, production unit or distribution building. If you only need a covered structure for storage or a single-span workshop — roof, frame and basic cladding, without the insulation or height of a full building — a simpler single-span industrial shed is the more economical choice; it costs less and goes up faster for straightforward covering needs. When you are unsure, tell us the use and we will point you to the right one.

Supplying Your Building to Specification
We are a manufacturer, so the building is supplied to your specification: you send the span, length, height and loads; we design and fabricate the frame and panels and dispatch the structure to your site. Orders dispatch within 15 to 21 working days of confirmation. If your team handles erection, we supply the complete kit ready to bolt together.

This page covers the metal building variant; for other steel building types and the full range, see our pre-engineered building range. If you would rather we build it for you start to finish, a turnkey design-and-erect service covers design, supply and on-site erection under one contract. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between PEB and RCC?
An RCC building is cast on site in concrete and steel and takes weeks to cure. An engineered metal building is fabricated in a factory and bolted together on site, so it goes up far faster, weighs less, and spans wider without internal columns. For most warehouses and industrial buildings, the metal building is quicker to occupy and easier to extend later.
What is a pre-engineered building steel structure?
It is the steel skeleton of the building — primary columns and rafters that carry the load, plus secondary purlins and girts that hold the roof and wall cladding. Every member is designed and cut to the building’s exact spans and loads before fabrication, which is what “pre-engineered” means.
Do you supply the building only, or erect it as well?
By default we supply the building to specification and dispatch it for your team to erect. If you need it erected too, that is handled as a separate turnkey service — tell us at enquiry and we will quote the option you need.
How soon can you dispatch?
Once your design and order are confirmed, the building is fabricated, inspected and dispatched within 15 to 21 working days. Transport time on top of that depends on your site location.
