Detailed information about Prefabricated Security Cabin
Prefabricated Security Cabin — Built to Your Spec in Our Factory, 10×8×8 ft Standard
A spec-built security cabin is what you order when the readymade 8×6 stock unit doesn't fit your gate footprint, when your security firm needs 12 identical cabins across a multi-site contract, or when project drawings call for window counts and electrical fit-outs no off-the-shelf SKU includes. SAMAN's prefabricated security cabin runs through the same factory-controlled process as our ready-stock cabins — but built to your spec, not pulled from stock. The default 10′×8′×8′ Steel & Wood configuration sits at ₹1,05,000 with 7 to 10 working days from spec confirmation to dispatch.
What "Prefabricated" Means in SAMAN's Security Cabin Range
"Prefabricated" and "readymade" are used interchangeably across most of the Indian portable cabin market. In SAMAN's four-SKU security cabin range they mean different things, and the difference matters at the order stage.
Readymade is a cabin already built to a standard 8′×6′×8′ spec, sitting in our Bangalore yard in one of eight factory colours, dispatched in 3 working days with zero spec decisions for you to make. If a stock cabin works for your site, the ready-from-yard stock SKU is the faster route.
Prefabricated is the same factory build standard, the same QC checks, the same paint shop — but built to a spec you brief us on. Size, panel material, window count, electrical fit-out, colour, accessories — all variables you confirm at the order stage. Lead time runs 7 to 10 working days from spec confirmation. When you don't change any variables, the default footprint dispatches at 10′×8′×8′ for ₹1,05,000.
Inside the 10×8×8 ft Standard Spec-Build at ₹1,05,000
If you don't change any variables on the spec sheet, this is what dispatches.
- Size: 10 ft × 8 ft × 8 ft (3.05 m × 2.44 m × 2.44 m)
- Interior floor area: ~74 sq ft (6.9 sq m)
- SKU: SP-CC-40-2024
- Frame: MS (mild steel) perimeter base + corner posts
- Wall infill: Wood panel, factory-painted with industrial-grade exterior coating
- Roof: MS frame skinned with corrugated GI sheet, 3-degree rear-shed slope
- Floor: Cement fiber board on MS sub-frame
- Door: Single steel hinged with internal latch
- Window: One sliding observation window
- Electrical: 1 ceiling light point, 1 fan point, 1 wall socket (5A/15A)
- Colour: One of 8 standard factory finishes
- Price: ₹1,05,000 (MRP ₹1,15,000)
The 10′×8′ footprint is the prefab default because it's the size facility managers most often spec for a 2-guard rotation post, a supervisor checkpoint, or a shift-handover cabin — interior space for one chair, one wall-mounted counter, one supplementary occupant during handover, with room left for a small cupboard or filing locker.

SAMAN spec-build at a corporate-compound gate — the 10×8×8 ft footprint comfortably handles a 2-guard rotation post or shift-handover with room for a small filing cupboard.
The Factory Build Process — From Spec Brief to QC Sign-Off
A spec-build cabin moves through six factory operations between order confirmation and dispatch. We've documented the sequence because procurement teams reviewing this page usually need to defend the 7-to-10-day lead time internally against a "why not next-day?" question.
Cut — MS sections are cut to your spec dimensions on the factory floor. For the standard 10×8 footprint this is a same-day operation; bespoke sizes outside our standard size envelope add a working day.
Frame — corner posts, perimeter base, and roof frame are welded into a rigid steel skeleton. Internal cross-bracing is added on multi-unit batch orders to keep frame geometry identical between units.
Panel — wood panels are cut to the wall openings, primed, and fitted to the frame. Window and door openings are framed in at this stage from the confirmed spec sheet.
Paint — the cabin moves to the paint shop for the colour you specified. The industrial-grade exterior coating is applied in two coats with a 24-hour cure between coats.
Fit — electrical points, light fittings, sockets, fan provision, door hardware, and any accessories you specified (CCTV bracket, AC sleeve cutout, internal partition) are installed.
QC sign-off — every cabin is checked against the spec sheet before it leaves the factory floor. Frame square, door alignment, electrical continuity, paint finish, and a physical match against your signed spec sheet are all signed off by the factory floor supervisor before dispatch is scheduled.

Spec Variables You Choose at the Order Stage
These are the spec choices you make at order stage — standard SAMAN variables, not exotic options that drive timelines or prices off the chart.
| Variable | Standard | Available range |
|---|---|---|
| Footprint | 10×8 ft | 6×6 · 8×6 · 10×8 · 12×8 · 10×10 (custom sizes on request) |
| Ceiling height | 8 ft | 8 ft / 9 ft |
| Frame | MS perimeter + corner posts | Standard / Heavy-duty (~₹8,000 step-up) |
| Wall panel | Wood, factory-painted | Wood / Pre-laminated MDF (~₹6,000–12,000 step-up) |
| Windows | 1 sliding | 1 to 4; barred / unbarred / tinted glass |
| Door | Single hinged steel, internal latch | Single hinged / Double-leaf / Cylinder lock upgrade |
| Electrical | 1 light + 1 fan + 1 socket | Up to 4 points + MCB panel |
| Colour | 8 factory finishes | 8 standard / Custom RAL match (5–7 day add) |
| Accessories | None | CCTV bracket · AC sleeve cutout · internal partition · lockable cupboard |
Each variable is confirmed in writing on the order spec sheet before fabrication starts. Once you've signed the spec sheet and the factory begins cutting, mid-build changes add 2–3 working days plus the cost of any wasted materials.
The Locked-vs-Flexible Split in a SAMAN Spec-Build
Three things stay locked across every spec-build cabin we make. Procurement teams sometimes ask whether these can flex; the answer is no, and the reason matters.
The MS frame thickness floor — we don't go thinner than our standard MS section in the perimeter base or corner posts. A thinner frame would drop the cabin's wind-load rating below what we'll quality-sign for outdoor use, and we won't dispatch a unit we can't stand behind.
The factory QC sign-off — every unit, every spec, goes through the same dimensional and electrical check before dispatch. Buyers occasionally ask whether we can skip QC to compress the timeline. We don't.
The paint cure window — the 24-hour cure between coats is fixed. Skipping it produces a finish that wears in 18 months instead of holding for 4 years of outdoor service.
How Your Spec Choices Move the ₹1,05,000 Anchor
₹1,05,000 is the standard 10×8×8 Steel & Wood spec. Here's how the variables in the table move that anchor in practice, based on what our typical spec-build orders look like.
A footprint downgrade to 8×6 brings the cabin down to about ₹95,000 — at which point we'd usually point you toward stock dispatch instead.
A footprint upgrade to 12×8 adds ₹15,000–₹22,000, depending on whether ceiling height also goes from 8 ft to 9 ft.
Heavy-duty frame (thicker MS section) adds ~₹8,000. Pre-laminated MDF wall panels in place of wood add ~₹6,000–₹12,000 depending on cabin size. Each additional window adds ₹3,500–₹5,000 fitted; barred windows add ₹1,500 each on top.
Accessories typically run: CCTV bracket + conduit ~₹2,200; AC sleeve cutout (factory pre-fit only) ~₹3,500; internal partition ~₹6,500; lockable cupboard ~₹4,500. Custom RAL paint matching outside the 8 standard colours adds ~₹3,500 plus 5–7 working days.
Anything outside this list — non-standard layout, twin-cabin combo, secondary external door — is quoted separately at the order stage.
7-to-10 Working Days From Spec Confirmation to Dispatch
The build window from spec confirmation to factory dispatch is 7 to 10 working days for the standard 10×8 spec with variables from the standard table. Here's where each day goes.
- Days 1–2: spec sheet review, dimensions confirmation, materials kit pulled from stores
- Day 3: MS frame cut and welded
- Day 4: wall panels fitted and primed
- Days 5–6: paint coats with 24-hour cure between coats
- Day 7: electrical fit-out, door hardware, and accessories installed
- Day 8: QC sign-off and final inspection
- Days 9–10: dispatch scheduling and loading
Sites within 200 km of our Gopasandra (Bengaluru) facility add one working day for transport. Sites outside the 200-km Bangalore radius dispatch from our Jalpura (Greater Noida) facility on a 14-to-21-day total build-and-deliver window depending on transport routing. Custom RAL paint outside the 8 standard colours adds 5–7 days. Non-standard sizes outside the standard envelope add 1–2 days for materials.

Day 9–10 of the build window — the cabin moves from the dispatch yard onto a flatbed truck for delivery within the 200-km Bangalore radius or onward to the Greater Noida unit for north-India sites.
Batch Consistency for Multi-Unit Orders
Security firms and EPC procurement teams placing multi-unit orders consistently raise the same concern: will the eighth cabin off the line look identical to the first?
Inside a single batch the answer is yes. Cross-bracing inside the frame, the QC dimensional check against one shared spec sheet, the same paint batch through the same spray operation on the same day, and the same fabrication team on a continuous production line — all four are locked when a batch order is placed.
Between batches separated by weeks there can be minor variation in wood-panel texture (natural material grain) and very small differences in paint tone (paint batches). For large rolling orders where consistency across deliveries matters more than per-cabin lead time, we batch all units in a single production run.

A batch of six identical spec-build cabins ready for dispatch — built in a single production run from one shared spec sheet, with cross-bracing and same-batch paint for consistency.
When to Pick Prefabricated vs Readymade From Our Range
SAMAN's security cabin range has four SKUs at four price points. Pick the prefabricated spec-build (this page, ₹1,05,000 base) when:
- Your gate footprint or guard-rotation pattern needs a size other than the 8×6 stock unit
- Your project drawings call for specific window counts, doors, electrical, or accessories an off-the-shelf SKU doesn't include
- You're ordering four or more cabins and want batch consistency across the order
- You can accept 7–10 working days from confirmation
Pick a different SKU in our range when one of these is true:
- The stock 8×6 ft footprint works for you and you need the cabin on the truck this week — the ready-from-yard stock SKU dispatches in 3 working days
- The cabin will move between gates as the project shifts — the relocation-grade variant has steel skid base, forklift slots, lifting eyes, and quick-disconnect electrical
- You need a single 6×6 ft guard post at the lowest entry price point — the entry-tier 6×6×9 SKU sits at ₹75,000
How to Brief Us for a Spec-Build Order
Send your spec brief over WhatsApp or through the form on this page. We come back within one working day with a written quote and a confirmed lead time. The brief needs four things:
- Footprint and ceiling height
- Window count, door configuration, and any accessories (CCTV bracket, AC sleeve, partition, cupboard)
- Electrical points needed
- Colour preference and dispatch PIN code
Once you confirm the quote, the order moves to the factory floor on the same working day. The first two days go into materials prep and the spec sheet sign-off; you'll receive a copy of the signed sheet before cutting starts.
Frequently Asked About Spec-Built Security Cabins
How is "prefabricated" different from "readymade" in SAMAN's security cabin range?
Readymade is a cabin already built to a standard 8′×6′×8′ spec, sitting in our Bangalore yard, dispatched in 3 working days with no spec decisions for the buyer. Prefabricated is the same factory build standard, but built to your specification — size, panel, windows, electrical, colour, accessories all confirmed at order stage. Readymade ships faster; prefabricated fits a specific brief. The lead-time difference is 3 days versus 7–10 days.
Can I order a footprint other than 10×8×8 ft, and how does that change the price?
Yes. Standard footprints available are 6×6, 8×6, 10×8, 12×8, and 10×10 ft. As a rough guide, 8×6 drops the price to about ₹95,000 — at which point readymade stock dispatch usually makes more sense — and 12×8 adds ₹15,000–₹22,000 depending on whether you also move ceiling height to 9 ft. Custom sizes outside this envelope are quoted on request with the lead-time impact confirmed in writing.
Will every cabin in a multi-unit order match the others exactly?
Within a single batch order, yes. The frames are cross-braced for identical geometry, paint is applied from the same batch on the same day, and QC uses one shared spec sheet for the whole batch. Between batches separated by weeks, there's minor natural variation in wood-panel grain and paint tone. For large multi-delivery orders where consistency matters most, we recommend a single batch production run.
How does the Steel & Wood build perform outdoors over 5–10 years compared to PUF-insulated cabins?
The Steel & Wood build is the standard Indian outdoor guard-cabin construction and typically delivers 8–12 years of outdoor service before major refurbishment, with a re-paint advisable around year 4. PUF-insulated panel cabins (which we don't currently offer in the security range) give better summer thermal performance and slightly tighter sound insulation, at a higher build cost. For most Indian gate-position deployments where the cabin runs a fan rather than full AC, Steel & Wood is the build that actually pays back. If your site sits consistently above 40 °C and you want AC operation inside the cabin, the build conversation changes.
Can I visit the factory during the build to inspect QC before the cabin is dispatched?
Yes. Buyer visits to either our Gopasandra (Bengaluru) or Jalpura (Greater Noida) factory are open during weekday working hours. Most multi-unit and EPC buyers visit during the QC stage on Day 8 to walk the spec-sheet check with the floor supervisor. Call one working day ahead so the unit's QC slot can be scheduled around your visit.

Day 8 of the build window — the factory supervisor walks the spec-sheet sign-off with one of our technicians before the cabin is cleared for dispatch loading.
